jpnn.comSOLO – Dozens of students from a number of universities in Solo held a joint demonstration in front of the local DPRD office, Thursday (11/7).
The student action began at around 14:15 WIB under strict police supervision.
Each student representative from Sebelas Maret University (UNS), Mambaul Ulun Surakarta Islamic Institute (IIM), Slamet Riyadi University (Unisri) and other universities took turns delivering their speeches.
Action coordinator Rozin Afianto from the Mambaul Ulun Surakarta Islamic Institute (IIM) assessed that the current Joko Widodo (Jokowi) government has been very disappointing.
The policy implementation system currently used by the government is very chaotic.
“Our demands are related to the bureaucracy that has failed so much today, therefore we are taking very big criticism, namely Anxious Indonesia is no longer Golden Indonesia 2045,” he said on the sidelines of the action.
One example that Rozin revealed was the People’s Housing Savings (Tapera). According to him, the program is very detrimental to the community. The reason is that there are already many taxes that must be paid by the community.
“So we reject all of that. The agreement from all our friends, even elements from the community,” he said.
