Godfather protest: Demonstration in front of the house of the head of the DIP

More than 200 demonstrators are protesting tonight (Saturday) in front of the home of DIP chief Keren Bar Menachem in Netanya. The demonstrators call on Bar Menachem not to whitewash the investigation into the murder of the late Ahuvia Godfather. Ahuvia’s father, Avraham Godfather, spoke on the spot.

During the demonstration, a YSM policeman was documented losing control and beating one of the demonstrators.

The TPS news agency notes that the force commander on behalf of the police is Sen. Shimon Dahan, commander of the Netanya station, who is remembered for failures in his function during Operation The Wall Guard as commander of the Lod station.

time reporter Ran Shimoni wrote in his account: “A YSM policeman attacks a demonstrator unnecessarily. Young people tried to cross the border set for the demonstration, YSM forces were brought in and one of them lost his composure from the first moment. Now he is standing behind other policemen, having a hard time. to settle down”

During the night between Thursday and Friday, all seven detainees who were arrested in protest of the killing of the late Ahuvia Godak in Zion Square in Jerusalem on Friday night were released at the police station. We provided legal assistance and worked for their release.

Advocate Shimshilshvili said that the detainees reported police violence during their arrest. “I demanded that the material be transferred to DIP for investigation. At the end of the night, all the detainees were released,” the attorney added.
