jpnn.comJAKARTA – Actor Denny Sumargo revealed his first experience burying his child’s placenta.

The man who is familiarly called Densu explained that he followed Javanese customs during the placenta burial process.

“So, I just follow the existing customs,” said Denny Sumargo when met in the Sudirman area, South Jakarta, recently.

Densu revealed the steps during the process of burying the placenta of his daughter who was just born on July 27, 2024.

The man born in 1981 started by cleaning the placenta and putting it in a jug.

He put the other 5 things into the jar containing the ari-ari before burying it.

Among them are rice, pencils, coins, books and chilies. The five objects put in the jug apparently have their own meaning.

“Coins, yes, then I gave him a pencil so he would be smart, then I gave him books so he would study a lot. There were chilies, so he could ward off bad spirits,” he said.
