Traffic is already dense this Friday on the country’s roads in the direction of holiday departures, with more than 500 km of cumulative delays at midday.
At the start of the afternoon, the information service reported 78 km of traffic jams on the A7 motorway south of Lyon. In the Paris region, the A10, A86, A3, ring road and interchanges accumulated 107 km of traffic jams. Traffic was also difficult on the A9 in Gard and the A63 in Gironde towards the seaside resorts.
Finally, access to Italy via the Mont-Blanc tunnel remains very dense.
Bison futé classified red on Friday in the western half of the country in the direction of departures and orange all the departments in the direction of returns.
For Saturday, traffic should get even more complicated. The entire network will see red for departures, while only the western quarter of the country will remain orange for returns. The big crossover will take place next weekend of August 5th and 6th.
