If the apartment bought on a mortgage is the only housing, then an eviction ban must be established, which will be valid for at least two years. Such a bill was submitted to the State Duma by deputies from the New People faction.
It is clarified that it is proposed to prohibit eviction within at least two years from the date of entry into force of the court decision on eviction.
The deputies recalled that such verdicts are caused by a long delay in the mortgage agreement, namely more than three months. It does not matter whether this housing is the only one for the borrower and his family members. In addition, the presence of the owner of children will not be an obstacle to eviction.
The only thing the debtor can count on is the postponement of the sale of the mortgaged apartment for up to a year if there are good reasons, the authors continued.
The same deputies proposed to impose a limit on the increase in the variable interest rate on previously taken mortgage loans for a period specified by the government.
