jpnn.comACEH – Deputy Chairman of the Aceh Golkar DPD for Education and Culture, Muhammad Iqbal Dawood, proposed to the DPP to accelerate the agenda of the national conference (munas) at least before the presidential inauguration in October 2024.

Iqbal said that the agenda for the national conference was accelerated before the inauguration so that Golkar could determine its stance of support for the president-elect.

In addition, the acceleration of the national conference is so that Golkar can focus more on winning the simultaneous regional elections in November.

“I think that the national congress should be accelerated before the presidential inauguration because we can focus more on winning the simultaneous regional elections and showing our support for the elected president and vice president,” he said in a press release, Sunday (7/7).

In addition to the agenda of electing the general chairman, Iqbal also asked for another agenda to be added, namely the inauguration of President Joko Widodo or Jokowi as Golkar’s advisory board, regardless of who is elected as general chairman.

“This is why the congress was held before the inauguration, because in my congress there was also an agenda of inaugurating Mr. Jokowi as the party’s advisory board, as a form of dedication for his contribution to increasing the electability of the party in the last election,” he added.

Iqbal also said that all those who advanced and registered for the Golkar general chairman election contest were the best cadres.
