Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov received Deputy Chairman of the Congress of Benelux Azerbaijanis, artist Rasim Huseynov, who lives in the city of Rotterdam in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

As reported to Day.Az by the State Committee for Work with Diaspora, having welcomed the guest, the chairman of the committee highly appreciated the close integration of our compatriots living in the Netherlands into the local society, their activity aimed at promoting Azerbaijani realities, popularizing our rich cultural heritage and culture. He emphasized that the diaspora has its own special place in the development of relations between the two countries, noted that the Azerbaijani communities, our compatriots currently operating abroad, are in the center of attention of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva.

Rasim Huseynov, expressing gratitude for the high assessment of his activities, brought to the attention that compatriots in the Netherlands thoroughly monitor the processes taking place in our country, support the successful domestic and foreign policy of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev. The guest said that efforts aimed at developing bilateral relations between the countries and ensuring more organized activities of our diaspora will be continued.
At the end of the meeting, Rasim Huseynov was awarded the medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan “For Services in Diaspora Activities” for his important contribution to the activities of the Azerbaijani diaspora.

It should be noted that Rasim Huseynov promotes Azerbaijani culture through art exhibitions held in Europe. Since 1988, his works have been presented at more than 100 international exhibitions. His works have been exhibited at 30 different exhibitions in the cities of Amsterdam, Utrecht and The Hague in Holland, as well as in neighboring Germany.
