Deputy Coronel Fernanda would have organized caravans to Brasília, according to STF

The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes authorized, this Wednesday (29), the opening of an investigation against federal deputy Coronel Fernanda (PL-MT) on suspicion of participation in the attacks on the Three Powers on the 8th. of January. The investigation responds to a request from the Federal Police.

According to the PF investigation, the parliamentarian would have been responsible for organizing caravans of Bolsonaristas from Mato Grosso to the federal capital. According to UOL, the investigation against the deputy is based on a statement by Gizela Cristina Bohrer, 60, arrested on the day of the attacks.

The pensioner told the police that Coronel Fernanda was responsible for organizing the transport with two other politicians. In the statement, Gizela said that the caravan would only support former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and denied having participated in anti-democratic attacks.

Coronel Fernanda is the fifth parliamentarian to be investigated for participating in the attacks in Brasilia. In addition to her, Silvia Waiãpi (PL-AP), Clarissa Tércio (Progressives-PE), Gilberto Silva (PL-PB) and André Fernandes (PL-CE) are also being investigated by the Supreme Court. All deny the accusations.

Fernandes and Silva are investigated for instigating or being intellectual agents of anti-democratic attacks. Silvia and Clarissa are being investigated for statements encouraging scammers.
