San Salvador. The Attorney General of the Republic, Rodolfo Delgado, made a request for a preliminary hearing in the Legislative Assembly, against the deputy of Nuevas Ideas, Erick García Solano, on suspicion of having committed the crime of ideological falsehood.

After hearing about this request, for which the deputy’s immunity has been requested, the Nuevas Ideas party decided to expel García from its ranks and, furthermore, determined that he is disqualified from participating in next year’s general elections.

García is the second disqualified candidate; the first disqualified is deputy Rebeca Santos. The political decision of Nuevas Ideas is based on the criminal and ethical scandals in which both politicians have been involved.

In view of this, the cyan party has decided that the candidates for deputies for La Libertad that will replace García and Santos are Norma Idalia Lobo Martell and Sandra Yanira Martínez Tobar, in addition to their alternates.

These last are the candidates that were below the results that favored those now discarded, explained the party, through an official statement released this Thursday. Erick García was pointed out by the national security adviser, Alejandro Muyshondt, until yesterday, as the person responsible for signing a (mutual) document in which he stated the loan of 90 thousand dollars whose origin was questionable, to later generate another document that annulled said loan.
