Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Petar Mladenov opened the conference “AI and the young. Rights, education, employment”. The event is organized by the National Youth Forum and aims to
provided a platform to discuss the rights of young people and the new opportunities they have in the face of the dynamically developing digital age.
Deputy Minister Mladenov, the chairman of the IMF Atanas Radev and the director of the “Friedrich Ebert-Bulgaria” foundation Jacques Paparo outlined the main challenges and the added value of
the development of artificial intelligence and digitization.
“Today’s conference comes at an important moment in which
digital technologies are part of our everyday life. In this sense, the participation of young people not only as users, but also as an engine for the development of digitalization, is key for their personal and
professional development,” said the deputy minister.
Mladenov congratulated the participants in the conference and declared the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to such initiatives and events.
During the conference, three thematic workshops related to rights and risks in the digital world, artificial intelligence in education and young people in the labor market will be held.
