It is reported that Azerbaijan and Armenia have agreed to hold the next round of peace talks in Russia. Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, spoke about this on April 12. Before that, it was expected that such a meeting would take place in the United States.
But on this eve (April 11), the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border became tense again. It was announced that seven soldiers were killed in a row on both sides, for which the sides blamed each other, and then Zakharova announced the Moscow meeting.

So far, it has not been possible to get an opinion on Zakharova’s statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. But the MP of Milli Mejlis Vahid Ahmadov In his statement to “Turan” on the subject, he said that he did not accept the Moscow negotiations.
The deputy believes that the issue between Azerbaijan and Armenia will be resolved in Brussels: “Moscow is behind the events that took place on April 11.”
According to Ahmadov, the main reason is that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President Ilham Aliyev were supposed to meet in Washington. “I mean, don’t let this meeting happen.”
According to him, the latest provocation on the border is not Pashinyan’s own initiative: “Because Pashinyan recently said that we made the biggest mistake in time when we did not inform the population that Karabakh is the territory of Azerbaijan. It was a very serious message, and this message shows that if Pashinyan had the opportunity, he would sign the peace agreement right now.”
