Designer Seol Young-hee’s haute couture brand ‘Seol Young-hee Marieblan Boutique’ held a unique fashion show with senior models at Rodeo Street in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 12th.
This fashion show, which featured the 2024 S/S collection under the theme of ‘Following the path of spring flowers and the path of summer breeze,’ was held in the form of a private salon party at the Apgujeong-dong cafe ‘Mont Blanc de Paris’.
The runway, which began with voice actor Song Do-soon as host, featured 15 senior female models and 3 male models presenting a total of 60 pieces over 2 hours. Rodeo Street in Apgujeong-dong was instantly transformed into a fashion show venue as senior models wearing collection outfits moved from beauty shops to cafes where the fashion show was held with confident, natural walking and elegant poses.
The main materials introduced in the fashion show were silk, linen, and viscose, and the brightness of main colors such as white, baby pink, and baby blue captured the news of spring. The embroidery, lace, and beads that stand out in the haute couture designer collection were added to create a luxurious feel with extravagance.
Designer Seol Young-hee said, “I support seniors who are creating beautiful and wonderful lives, and I want to create opportunities for them to stand on the fashion show stage so that they can shine with their experience and capabilities. “Furthermore, we will accelerate our efforts to become a leading designer of senior fashion culture,” he said.
At the end of last year, a fashion show was held at Volkswagen’s Gangnam Daechi exhibition hall with the motif of ‘Seoul reflected between street lights on a winter night.’
