Despair in Draveil after the drowning of a teenager who was bathing: “We heard horrible cries”

The cries of pain are blood-curdling. A devastated mother sits on the ground unable to contain her tears. Others present on the scene are trying, somehow, to support each other. This Saturday, shortly before 2 p.m., a 14-year-old girl died after drowning in the Seine, in Draveil (Essonne). According to the first elements of the investigation, the young victim was having fun with three friends by the river, very close to the rowing club of the town. A place where swimming is strictly prohibited.
