Kangana is playing Indira Gandhi in the movie ‘Emergency’. Kangana is also the director. As the name suggests, this is a film set in the background of emergency. Kangana’s story is written by Ritesh Shah. Produced by Kangana and Renu Pitti under Manikarnika Films banner. This is Kangana’s second directorial venture. Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, released in 2019, was the first film directed by Kangana herself in the title role. But it was directed by Kangana with Krish Jagarlamudi.
Tanvi Kesari Pasumarthi is preparing the additional dialogues of ‘Emergentita’. Associate Producer Akshat Ranaut, Executive Producer Sameer Khurana, Cinematography Tetsuo Nagata, Editing Rameshwar S Bhagat, Production Designer Rakesh Yadav, Costume Design Sheetal Sharma, Prosthetic Designer David Malinowski, Music GV Prakash Kumar. The film will hit the theaters in 2023. Filming is in progress.
