Watan Today: A 27-year-old man died after drowning in an agricultural pond in the Northern Badia district of Mafraq Governorate.
A medical source said that the young man was taken to the Northern Badia Hospital, but he arrived dead.
The security services, which initiated an investigation into the circumstances of the incident, were notified.
In addition, the Public Security Directorate called on citizens to follow the necessary preventive measures during the holiday season, as drowning incidents of children increase.
He called on the Security Directorate not to allow children to enter the swimming pool unless there is a lifeguard or a person with knowledge of swimming and rescue skills, and to be careful to choose the place designated for swimming and to stay away from agricultural ponds, dams and dangerous water bodies.
And she noted the need to stay away from places that are cordoned off with a warning tape or marked with a warning sign that prevents approaching or swimming from them.
Finally, the Security Directorate advised not to rush emotionally and try to save people without knowing the skills and abilities of rescue and swimming, in addition to avoiding wrong behaviors during hiking trips.
During the past 24 hours, the Directorate of Civil Defense dealt with (1179) different emergency cases, with an average response time of (6:59) minutes, where the necessary measures were taken for them and their arrival to hospitals was secured, and (97) rescue accidents were dealt with, with an average response time of (8). (09) minutes, and (121) firefighting accidents, with an average response time of (7:41) minutes
