Tensions have risen as China has sent 30 warplanes into Taiwan’s air defense zone.
China, which claims Taiwan as its own, has been making various attempts to bring the country under its control. Although there is no formal trade relationship between Taiwan and the United States, it has been an international supporter and supplier of arms.
The United States recently warned China not to invade Taiwan because of this. In this case, the United States has sent 30 warplanes to Taiwan’s air defense zone, causing tension.
According to the Taiwan Ministry of Defense, 30 Chinese military planes have entered the southwestern part of our air defense identification zone. Two-thirds of them are fighter jets. In response, we have deployed our own air force and air defense missile system.
Earlier, Taiwan had said it planned to increase security ties with the United States, but China has made the biggest incursion.
Earlier this month, China sent 18 warplanes to Taiwan’s airspace, causing tension, but now it has carried out the incursion despite US warnings.
According to the AFP news agency database, Chinese warplanes made 969 incursions into Taiwan’s security last year, half of which 465 this year. China’s actions are said to have increased pressure on Taiwan’s air force.
