The original Witcher game will be significantly redesigned.

According to CD Projekt RED top manager Jakub Rokosz, the company is working on a remake of the Witcher game, released in 2007. Rokosh revealed some details of the future title, noting that the developers will remove some of the content in the remake. The game designer emphasized that the developers will remove elements and game mechanics that have become outdated over time.
Rokosh also noted that CD Projekt RED, on the contrary, will highlight the content and elements of the game that it considers the most successful.
The publication’s journalists suggested that the remake of The Witcher will not include erotic pictures that the main character could collect. The developers can also significantly rework the combat system, remove unnecessary cut scenes and improve the game.
The original Witcher, which marked the beginning of the trilogy, was released in 2007. Its remake was announced in October 2022. The current game in the series is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which appeared in 2015.
