Finland defeated Great Britain 8-0 (1-0, 5-0, 2-0) in Group A.

Finland secured victory in the second third, when Oliver Kapanen scored his second goal in the game, and Jese Puljujervi, Jere Innala in the majority, Jūso Rīkola and Olli Māta scored the first.

Kapanen also scored the last goal of the match with a hat-trick, while another goal was scored by Miko Lehtonen.

The World Championship will be held in the Czech cities of Prague and Ostrava until May 26.
