Thiruvalla: Travancore Devaswom Board president defended the employee in the case of Sabarimala Sopanath Devaswom Board employee grabbing and pushing devotees on Makaravilak Day. Devaswom Board President K. Ananta Gopan said in Thiruvalla.

There is no situation in Sabarimala where devotees should be grabbed and pushed. The onlookers must have felt that it was grabbing the devotees and pushing them. The President said that he saw this only through video footage.

In the context of the High Court reference, the board has sought an explanation from Arun Kumar, who has been accused. The employee was removed from work at Sabarimala that day. The President added that further action will be taken according to the High Court decision.
