Developer Toree 3D brought the Super Kiwi 64 to the Switch eShop in December

Earlier this year, while highlighting Nintendo Live, 3D toree and Toree 2, developer Siactro revealed that it will introduce a new 3D platformer and Collect-a-thon. Super Kiwi 64 Coming to the Nintendo Switch sometime this year.

It’s now locked in a release window – revealing that this new N64-inspired 3D game will launch on the Switch eShop sometime in December 2022. Players can expect “low-poly retro looks from the end of the ’90s,” and plenty of cool platform capabilities. The levels can be completed in any order.

In that vein, it will also make Penny available on the Nintendo Switch on October 14th. This is a precursor to the Super Kiwi 64 and is described as a 2D vertical platformer, with a previously introduced look from the early 1990s. Here’s a running preview:

While you’re waiting for these two games to arrive – Toree 3D and Toree 2 are worth checking out, if you haven’t played them already. It also offers a retro style platform which is actually quite good.
