Muscat: Oman with steps for progress in the agricultural sector. As part of measures to ensure food security, four projects worth Rs 1.2 crore, including rabbit rearing, will be started. The decision was made to expand the cultivation of fruits, vegetables and medicinal plants. Other projects include livestock rearing, fodder production and milk and egg production.

Qatar aims to promote the sale of rabbit meat and export it in the future. Another project is to grow vegetables in a modern way and he aims to produce 1,500 tonnes of vegetables and herbs annually. The government also plans to set up a special area in the Al Kamil area exclusively for medicinal plant cultivation.
