Developments in tensions between China and Taiwan, the Americans are watching

Today (Thursday) the US Secretary of Defense instructed the aircraft carrier “Ronald Reagan” to monitor the security situation between Taiwan and China.

This directive comes after the Chinese have increased their aggression towards Taiwan, and have carried out military exercises in recent days, which according to experts, could be a preparation for a Chinese invasion of the island.

The Japanese Ministry of Defense reported that four Chinese missiles that landed earlier today in the EEZ of Japan passed over Taiwan. Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense confirmed this report.

Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense also reported that twenty-two Chinese fighter jets crossed the median line over the Taiwan Straits today.
