The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that 100 people were killed and more than 400 others were injured as a result of Israeli raids on various areas in eastern and southern Lebanon, while Hezbollah announced that it had bombed Haifa and the Galilee with missiles.

Israeli warplanes launched the most violent raids this morning, Monday, since the outbreak of the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip, amounting to about 300 raids on towns in the south and the Bekaa (east of the country). They targeted villages and areas that were targeted for the first time.

The Israeli air force raided the town of Tayr Dibba and Abbasiya in the Tyre district, in addition to the town of Haris and Birkat al-Jabour in the Jezzine region.

The raids also targeted the towns of Mays al-Jabal, Aitaroun, Houla, Taybeh, Markaba, Bani Hayyan, Jabal al-Rayhan, the heights of Iqlim al-Tuffah al-Tiri, Bint Jbeil, Hanin, Zawtar, and the Nabatieh region in southern Lebanon.

The raids also extended to the areas surrounding the Shaara, Harbata, and Hermel regions, and the areas surrounding the towns of Shamstar, Taraya, and Boday in eastern Lebanon.

In turn, the Israeli army spokesman, Avichay Adraee, announced in press statements: “We are preparing for all scenarios in Lebanon, including a ground invasion,” considering that Israel “did not choose war, but Hezbollah chose it.”

Adraee continued his statements by saying, “The army will carry out large-scale raids on Lebanese villages.”

He added that “homes and civilian buildings used by Hezbollah to hide its weapons” would be bombed, noting that “Israel’s priority is not to strike civilians in Lebanon,” according to his claim.

Reuters reported that residents of southern Lebanon “received calls from a Lebanese number, ordering them to immediately move 1,000 meters away from any Hezbollah site.”
