Dhaka: More than 50 injured in clash between students and Ansar Force jawans

(24 News) There was a clash between the students and the paramilitary force ‘Ansar Force’ in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, as a result of which a total of 50 people were injured on both sides.
According to Bangladeshi media, the clash between the students and the Ansar Force started at 9 pm on Sunday, which continued for an hour, after which the army soldiers brought the situation under control. They were blocking the road while protesting for the approval of the demands, and thousands of students marched there with sticks in their hands, after which they attacked each other from both sides.

According to Bangladeshi media, a student said he was collecting funds for flood victims at the university when he learned that Ansar Force had confined some advisers and government officials to the secretariat, after which the students marched towards the secretariat. Later, the interim government led by Dr. Younis transferred 9 senior members including the Deputy Commandant of Ansar Force.
What is Ansar Force? It should be noted that Bangladesh’s Ansar or Village Defense Force is a force under the Ministry of Home Affairs whose task is to look after matters related to the internal security or situation of Bangladesh. According to Bangladeshi media, Ansar Force was established in 1948 and the Assembly It was also given legal protection by passing the Act, while the number of members of Ansar Force is more than 6 million.
