Expatriate participants aligned with the Awami League claimed responsibility for organizing the airport protest. Organizers and attendees at the scene included local party figures such as Awami League general secretary Imdad Chowdhury. Dhaka Prepares Legal Action Against Organizers

The government in Dhaka responded swiftly to the New York airport confrontation, categorizing the incident as targeted harassment rather than legitimate political expression.

Dr. Yunus, attempts to harass actress Badhon are not pressure groups or anything of the sort, this is Awami terrorism. Legal processes regarding this have been initiated, and more will be taken in the future. There is no question of letting such actions by Awami terrorists go unchallenged.
