The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this information in a circular on Tuesday (September 10). According to the notification, Bangladesh expressed deep concern in a protest note sent to the Indian High Commission in Dhaka on Tuesday.

The protest note noted that such killings continued despite the Indian authorities adopting non-lethal tactics and repeated promises to stop the killings. The government of Bangladesh condemned this brutal act.

According to the protest note, if a citizen of a country enters the territory of another country without valid documents, action can be taken according to the laws of the respective country. Under no circumstances should they be subjected to torture and death.

On September 9 (Monday), Jayant Kumar Singh alias Jambu was killed by BSF firing on the border of Baliadangi upazila in Thakurgaon district. Earlier on September 1, another Bangladeshi girl was killed in the same way at Moulvibazar border.
