Director Balaji Mohan confirms his marriage with actress Dhanya Balakrishna. Television star Kalpika Ganesh’s allegation that Balaji and Dhanya got married secretly led to huge controversy. This is Balaji’s second marriage. Balaji got married to Aruna in 2012 but they separated in 2013.
Now the director has responded to Kalpika’s allegations. Revealing that everything she said was true, the director filed a defamation case against the actress in the Madras High Court for interfering in his personal life.
The director’s complaint says: “I am a person who has directed films like Maari and Maari 2. Dhanya Balakrishna and I got married last January 23. Dhanya is an actress who has acted in films such as Ejham Anwar, Raja Rani, etc. Kalpika Ganesh, an actress from Telangana who acts in web series, released videos on YouTube about our married life and defamation of personal life. And they also shared it on social media pages. I request the court to restrain Kalpika from making defamatory remarks about my and my wife’s personal life and to pay Rs 1 crore as compensation.
Then the court heard the case and banned Kalpika from entering Balaji’s life. The court also issued an order to give a reply by January 20.
