The statement issued by First Minister MK Stalin stated: –
Ganesan, a farmer from Kariyappanaally village, was deeply saddened to hear the news of his death as farmers had been protesting for the past 3 days in areas including Balawadi in Dharmapuri district.
I extend my deepest condolences to the family of farmer Ganesan. I have also directed the First Minister to provide Rs. 5 lakhs from the General Relief Fund to the Ganesan family.
This DMK government, which is working in their way, will always be a good friend to the farmers.
