At the same time, Pandit Kundan Pathak of Aurangabad has given an important message to Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham. Pathak ji has requested Shastri ji to follow an important religious tradition this time like last time. Pathak ji told that before Pind Daan in Gaya, it is necessary to perform Pind Daan in Punpun river. This is an ancient tradition. But, many Pandits perform Pind Daan in Godavari Sarovar. By doing this, Gaya Shraddha remains incomplete. This does not give peace to the ancestors.
Dhirendra Shastri should not make the mistake of 2023
Pathak ji said that last time when Shastri ji came to Gaya in 2023, he made this mistake. This time he requested him not to repeat this mistake. He said that a mistake made repeatedly is unforgivable. Even God does not forgive it. He said that Dhirendra Shastri definitely came to Gayaji to offer Pind Daan to the ancestors of his devotees but did not forget the mythological ritual of offering the first Pind in Punpun river. This mistake will prove costly for his devotees. If his devotees do not first offer Pind to the ancestors in Punpun river, the gateway of Gaya Shraddha Tarpan, before offering Pind Daan to their ancestors in Gayaji, then the Pind Daan done by them to their ancestors in Gayaji will go in vain. It will not reach their ancestors and the ancestors will remain unsatisfied.

Pathak ji further said that he is saddened by the fact that all the priests of Gaya know and believe that in the Pitru Paksha, before performing Shraddha Tarpan in Gaya, there is a mythological ritual of offering the first pind to the ancestors in Adi Ganga Punpun, which has been going on for centuries. Despite this, the priests of Gaya make the Pinddaanis offer the first pind to their ancestors in the Godavari Sarovar instead of the Punpun river through a supplementary ritual.
By offering the first pind to ancestors at Gaya through supplementary rituals, the Gaya Shraddha remains defective and incomplete and it does not reach the ancestors and they are not satisfied. In such a situation, it is a request to Dhirendra Shastri with folded hands that before coming to Gaya to offer Pind Daan to the ancestors of the devotees, the first pind should be offered to the ancestors at any ghat of Punpun river. Only after this, perform the Shraddha Tarpan as per the rituals at Gaya. He has appealed to Shastri Ji not to make this mistake this time. He has requested Shastri Ji to get the Pind Daan done in Punpun river. Only after this, perform the Shraddha rituals in Gaya as per the rituals.
