Chennai: The list of players to be retained by the teams ahead of the IPL Mega Auction is out. ESPN Cricket Info reports that Chennai Super Kings have retained four players, including skipper MS Dhoni. Apart from Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings have retained Ravindra Jadeja, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Moeen Ali, according to Cricinfo.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore have retained Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell, who resigned as captain last season.

The Kolkata Knight Riders retained two foreign players and two Indian players. The Kolkata Knight Riders retained spinner Sunil Narine, all-rounder Andre Russell, opener Venkatesh Iyer and mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy.

The Rajasthan Royals have retained only captain Sanju Samson. The list of players retained by the Punjab Kings has not been released. The final list of players to be retained must be submitted no later than 12 noon on Tuesday, so the list is likely to change further.

With the addition of two new teams, each team will be able to retain four players ahead of the IPL mega star auction in December.
