New Delhi: BJP alliance candidate Draupadi Murmu (64), who is contesting the presidential election, filed his nomination yesterday. Union ministers, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, were accompanied by leaders of the coalition parties.

At the event, Tamil Nadu BJP leader Annamalai, top leader CD Ravi, AIADMK coordinator O. Panneerselvam and co-coordinator Palanisamy met in person yesterday and sought support for National Democratic Alliance candidate Draupadi Murmu in the presidential election. They were also invited to attend Murmu’s candidacy event.

Accepting the invitation, OBS went to Delhi the night before yesterday. Similarly, on behalf of Palanisamy, State Councilor M. Thambidurai also went to Delhi. In Delhi, Thampidurai met candidate Draupadi Murmu yesterday and sought his support. At that time, Thampidurai congratulated Palanisamy for expressing his full support on behalf of the AIADMK.

Similarly, Draupadi Murmu met the OBS and sought their support. Union Minister L Murugan, OBS son OP Ravindranath and Manoj Pandyan MLA were present.

During the filing of the Dhruvpathi Murmu nomination, Prime Minister Modi was accompanied by BJP supremo JP Natta, O. Panneerselvam, M. Thambidurai, OBS son OP Ravindranath MP. Also participated.
