When former President Donald Trump walked out of a Manhattan courthouse after being charged and convicted of paying illegal money in 2016, his legal team followed suit. To the viewers’ surprise, two ultra-Orthodox lawyers were also seen

In a complete surprise to the Jewish viewers who followed President Trump’s exit from the New York courthouse after the charges against him were read, two ultra-Orthodox men were seen walking along with Trump’s legal team right behind the president.

While Trump has a team of lawyers working on his defense against allegations of criminal wrongdoing, the inclusion of two ultra-Orthodox Jewish lawyers has never been publicly disclosed.

The Yeshiva world news website reports that one of the lawyers is Gedaliah Stern, a Manhattan attorney whose “practice focuses on representation in criminal investigations and under indictment,” and who has “extensive experience with a variety of crimes, including bribery, benefit fraud, wire fraud, kidnapping and other crimes,” according to his website. Stern graduated from Lakewood High School in 2010, and in 2014 graduated from Columbia University with a law degree.

It is still unclear who the second male medic who walked behind Trump was, although it is assumed that he is also a lawyer from his legal team.
