THE QUESTION. The NGO Human Rights Watch on Thursday 31 March called on the Ukrainian authorities to investigate potential “war crimestowards Russian prisoners, after the broadcast of images appearing to show Ukrainian soldiers shooting them in the legs. Published on March 27 on the Telegram channel – beware the content is very violent – the images in question have made the rounds on social networks. They also provoked the reaction of an adviser to the Ukrainian presidency, Oleksiï Arestovitch, who recognized that the abuse of prisoners constitutes a “war crimeand that an investigation would be opened. Could the video in question be authenticated?
