Muhammad Issa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, received Didi Ahmed Rifai, Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia accredited to the State of Libya.
According to a Foreign Ministry statement, the two sides stressed the importance of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and agreed on the necessity of working to strengthen and develop relations in all fields, including the political, economic, cultural and educational fields.
Didi Ahmed Rifai praised the distinguished relations between Libya and Indonesia, stressing his country’s keenness to strengthen and develop these relations in all fields.
The Indonesian official expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Libyan government for providing a number of scholarships to Indonesian students, who are still studying in various specializations at Asmariya University as well as the College of Islamic Dawa, noting at the same time that there are more than 300 Libyan students who graduated from Indonesian universities earlier. There are still some students currently studying in various specializations in Indonesian universities.
Didi Ahmed revealed the Republic of Indonesia’s intention to announce scholarships for Libyan citizens in all specializations.
For his part, the agent expressed his hope that mutual scholarships between the two countries would contribute to enhancing scientific exchange and developing cultural relations.
This meeting comes after a fruitful working visit by the Undersecretary to the Republic of Indonesia, during which he met with a number of senior Indonesian officials and discussed with them ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
