The Club Sport Emelec confirmed a few minutes ago the renewal of the Uruguayan winger Diego “Demonio” García, who signed a new contract for 6 more months with a purchase option.

After several months of negotiations, Emelec reached an agreement with Boston River (owner of García’s pass) for García’s continuity until the end of the current season. The president of Emelec (Pileggi) mentioned at the beginning of the week that the renewal was well underway, something that was finally confirmed this Friday.

Since his arrival at Emelec in July 2022, Diego García has played 36 games with the electrical institution, contributing with 2 annotations.
