Digital development: Partnership agreement between ADD and the Smart Africa Alliance
Casablanca – The Digital Development Agency (ADD) and the Smart Africa Alliance signed a partnership agreement for digital development on Thursday in Marrakech.
Concluded on the sidelines of GITEX Africa Morocco, this cooperation agreement mainly aims to pool efforts and share knowledge around digital-related themes and to make Morocco’s know-how and feedback in this area available to member states, the ADD said in a press release.
Under this agreement, several areas of cooperation have been identified, including the development of digital administration programs and the encouragement of actions aimed at ensuring interoperability and interconnection between member countries, as well as the strengthening of digital infrastructures.
This partnership also aims to develop skills and human capital, promote innovative entrepreneurship, strengthen digital inclusion for African populations, and promote the development of emerging technologies.
As a reminder, the Kingdom of Morocco joined, in December 2019, on behalf of the ADD, the Smart Africa Alliance with a view to contributing to the implementation of projects initiated by the Alliance and strengthening collaboration in digital development for the benefit of Member States, the press release concludes.
