Dubai: Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has announced a new plan to provide better and easier services to the people. The company has announced plans to strengthen its new digitization under the name ‘Services 360’.

The project has been approved by the Dubai Executive Council

It aims to digitize more government services and bring all available digital services under one umbrella. The project will be implemented in all government departments in Dubai. Sheikh Hamdan said the project was aimed at providing better services to the people as well as minimizing the number of people visiting government offices for services. The Dubai Executive Council meeting chaired by Sheikh Hamdan approved the new digitization plan.

Sheikh Hamdan announced the launch of the ‘Services 360’ project, which aims to reduce the number of customers who visit government offices every year by 90 lakh. With the further digitization of services, three lakh working hours of government employees can be saved. He said it was estimated that the new policy would bring in Dh100 crore over the next five years.

Integrated system for exchanging information

‘Services 360’ plans to make 90 per cent of government services fully online without the need for direct customer presence. As part of this, services will be fully automated. An integrated system will be set up to make the available information and documents available to all departments to avoid having to submit different documents and information for each service. By implementing such an integrated system, the information that one department has about an individual will be integrated with each other to make the services of other departments more accessible.

All services will be under one umbrella

The ‘Services 360’ project aims to digitize more services as well as facilitate the availability of all available government services on a single platform. The plan is to focus on a digital identity called UAE Pass. This will provide full time services to the customers. Priority will be given to bringing in a user-friendly system that targets customers.

Collaborate with private enterprises

The Executive Council also decided to co-operate with private enterprises in the sector for the successful implementation of the ‘Services 360’ project to better access government services to the people. This will enable any government services to be made available, in whole or in part, through private agencies. The ‘Services 360’ project is being developed under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Executive Council in collaboration with the Dubai Model Center and the Dubai Digital Authority.
