Head of BAZNAS RI for Technology and Information, Prof. HM Nadratuzzaman Hosen, said that zakat collectors must be able to utilize technology and information (IT) to face the challenges of the times.
According to him, the amils have a big responsibility towards the development of BAZNAS in the regions.
“We can no longer rely solely on religious lectures, we must be professional and utilize digital transformation,” said Prof. Nadra, in his statement, Saturday (21/9).
He said that digitalization is considered important to improve the professionalism of zakat management throughout Indonesia.
Digital transformation is not only about the use of technology, but also the implementation of comprehensive digital strategies, including social media and digital marketing.
With digitalization, zakat management can be more efficient, reach can be expanded, and services to muzaki and mustahik can be improved.
“Information technology allows us to provide faster and more precise services,” he added.
