Cochin | The Crime Branch is set to question the friends of the eighth accused Dileep after the High Court allowed more time for further investigation into the case. His wife Kavya Madhavan and friends in the film industry will be questioned.
With the High Court allowing another month and a half for further investigation, the Crime Branch has prepared a large list of those to be questioned. It is the arduous task of the investigation team to find evidence that can confirm Dileep’s role in the case beyond question. About 30 per cent of the digital evidence has to be examined and settled within a month and a half.
The scientific test result of the pen drive submitted by Balachandra Kumar, which is the key piece of further investigation, is crucial in the case. The trial in the case has been adjourned as part of the ongoing investigation. The prosecution is continuing its arguments in the trial court seeking cancellation of Dileep’s bail.
