MediaTek revealed its latest processors for smartphones, the Dimensity 1300 or the Dimensity 1300, which is coming to compete with the Snapdragon 779 processor as an option for medium phones that support 5G connectivity.

MediaTek has had an impact in the smartphone processor industry and has begun to gain the trust of customers, especially since last year when its first flagship processors were unveiled, as well as powerful options in the mid-range segments.

MediaTek published a statement on its official website today, announcing the launch of the new Dimensity 1300 mid-range processor, which was developed with 6-nano-architecture chipsets and supports technologies such as 5G connectivity and artificial intelligence.

As evidenced by the name, MediaTek’s idea of launching the Dimensity 1300 as a new generation of the Dimensity 1200 processor, which it launched two years ago, is a processor that has earned everyone’s trust due to the strong performance it provides, specifically in the OnePlus Nord 2 phone, which gave performance benchmark results close to leading phones.

MediaTek’s statement said that the new processor is eight-core, 4 of them are powerful, or what is described as Ultra Core. The first core has a frequency of up to 3 GHz, with three cores at a frequency of 2.6 GHz and four other cores with a frequency of 2 GHz.

The processor also contains advanced technologies, the fifth generation HyperEngine, which is responsible for graphics processing, or in the simplest sense, the ability to run games that require stronger image processing with the capabilities of supporting screens with an image refresh rate of up to 168 Hz.

As for processing images captured by the camera, the Dimensity 1300 will support 4K video shooting with capabilities to exploit artificial intelligence in isolation, quality improvement and color discrimination.

The new MediaTek processor has the ability to process images from a camera with a sensor accuracy of up to 200 mega pixels and combine images from several sources (a multi-lens camera).

It also supports the ability to work with up to 16 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage spaces for fast data transfer.

So far, there is no information on when the first phone with the new processor will arrive, but it will most likely be during the second half of this year.
