In Boluarte, President of Peru, was denounced along with other officials this afternoon July 30th by the Peruvian Prosecutor’s Office.
The agency reported that the president is to be charged crimes against life, body and healththe result of violent repression of several protests.
In these mobilizations it was reported that at least 44 citizens died y 116 were injured between December 7, 2022 and February 9, 2023, when Dina Boluarte’s government began.
What is Dina Boluarte accused of? Qualified homicide and serious injuries are being sought to be charged against the President of Peru
The Office of the Attorney General, through the Area of Illicit Enrichment and Constitutional Complaintsreported that Dina Boluarte is being charged with homicide.
The agency determined that the president could be responsible for the repression of the protests that occurred after her coming to power in 2022, which led to 44 people dead.
The crimes charged to Dina Boluarte correspond to the crimes of:
- qualified homicide, by omission – eventual intent in the context of serious human rights violations, to the detriment of Cristian Rojas and others.
- Serious injuries by omission – eventual intent in the context of serious human rights violations to the detriment of Teófilo Ramírez and others.
- Minor injuries, under the same conditions, to the detriment of Miguel Velásquez and others.
Investigations into the deaths and injuries during the repressions during the government of Dina Boluarte, president of Peru, determined that the victims were attacked with the following devices:
- By firearm: 41 deaths
- Blunt object injuries: 3 deaths
- Injured by firearms: 78 citizens
- Injured by firearms: 27 citizens
- Tear gas bomb injuries: 6 injured

Senior officials involved include:
- Miguel Angulo Aranda and Luis Alberto Otárola Peñaranda, Presidents of the Council of Ministers;
- Luis Alberto Otárola and Jorge Luis Chávez as Ministers of Defense;
- César Cervantes, Víctor Rojas Herrera and Vicente Romero as Ministers of the Interior
