District level swimming competitions were held in the swimming pool at the Dindigul District Sports Hall. District Swimming Club President Ratnam inaugurated the competitions.

Competitions were held in six categories of 18 years, 14 years, 12 years, 8 years, 7 years, and under 6 years, male and female separate categories. Competitions were held in Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly, Breaststroke and Individual. 120 students from all over the district including Dindigul, Palani, Kodaikanal, Vadamadurai, Ottenchatram Natham participated in the competitions.

Gold, silver and bronze medals and certificates were awarded to the top three winners. Umpires, sports enthusiasts and parents also witnessed the matches.
