Presenting this program during a joint session of the two Houses of Parliament, Mr. Akhannouch indicated that this national project, intended to lay the foundations for a new generation of social action, makes it possible to improve the living conditions of a greater number of families, specifying that the targeting operation will encompass several categories, far exceeding the beneficiaries of all previous social programs.

Considering the categories targeted and the unprecedented financial envelope that will be allocated to this program, as well as the expected positive results, the Head of Government stressed that it is a question of “institutionalizing a national social policy that is united, more equitable and more sustainable, as desired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which invests in the present for a better future, reiterating the bonds of trust and increasing hope for social stability in the future.

The success of this social project requires everyone’s adherence to the values of solidarity and equity, noted Mr. Akhannouch, adding that “the objective is to inaugurate a new phase in the Kingdom’s development process, in which the citizen is at the center of the concern of the various projects and policies of the social State, as desired by His Majesty the King.”

The measures taken by the government in this regard are likely to contribute to creating positive effects on the family in particular and on the Kingdom in general, through the improvement of social and human development indicators and the reduction of poverty and precariousness rates and the elimination of social inequalities, as well as investment in human capital, in particular young children, support for the most precarious social strata, in particular women and the elderly, and improving access to education and health, assured the Head of Government.

These measures will also help to reduce territorial inequalities and ensure a regular income for families living on income from seasonal activities, by guaranteeing the care and better targeting of children with disabilities, he added.
