DIRECT. War in Ukraine: Russian attacks on Bakhmout down sharply in recent days

According to the American Institute of War, the number of attacks in and around Bakhmout has decreased significantly in recent days. One of the explanations would be the lack of ammunition for the soldiers of the Wagner mercenary group. Although small towns around Bakhmout were taken by Wagner, according to the SW, these “strikes are localized and opportunistic”. According to the ISW, “it is therefore likely that Wagner’s offensive on Bakhmout is increasingly approaching its climax” and “that the offensive will not be sufficient to seize Bakhmout”.
