Paravoor ∙ Director Baiju Paravoor (42) passed away before the release of his first film ‘Secret’, which he wrote and directed himself. He is the son of Shashi and Sumathi couple in Nanthikulangara Koipamath.
Baiju entered the cinema as a production executive and was active in the film industry for 20 years. Has been a part of forty five films. He was the production controller in films like Dhaniyam, Maithili and Kaitholachathan.

Family and friends say that the death was due to food poisoning. Baiju, who had gone to Kozhikode for the discussion of a film, felt discomfort after eating at the hotel on his way back.
He went to his wife’s house in Kunnamkulam and after seeing the nearby doctor he came to his house in Paravur. Due to his deteriorating health condition, he was admitted to private hospitals in Kuzhupilly and then in Kochi, but died yesterday morning. Culture was performed.
