Director General of Iraqi Airways Company Relieved of His Duties »

The Prime Minister’s Media Office announced the dismissal of the Director General of Iraqi Airways from his duties.

The office stated in a statement received by the (INA), that “in implementation of the directives of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani to form an investigative committee to follow up and uncover the causes of the confusion that occurred in Iraqi Airways flights in the past days, the committee has completed its work and submitted its recommendations to the Minister of Transport, including the recommendation to dismiss the Director General of Iraqi Airways from his duties, and the Minister approved the recommendations.”
He added, “On this occasion, we renew the previous directives of the Prime Minister to the service departments, to provide the best levels of service to the citizen, and not to be negligent in any area that affects the general requirements of all our Iraqi people, and the Prime Minister’s emphasis on not being lenient towards any shortcoming or negligence, which negatively affects the reputation of the rest of the state institutions, which are striving and racing against time and circumstances in order to advance their work and what they provide in various fields.”
