The director of “Yeralash” Ilya Belostotsky was arrested on suspicion of pedophilia. On October 21 REN TV reported about it.

According to the information available to the channel, the house of the famous art worker was searched, as a result of which photographs and videos with naked children were found. On this basis, law enforcement officers began to check.

The director disappeared from sight about a year ago. At the same time, in social networks, people “familiar with the situation” began to spread messages about Belostotsky’s serious illness.

At the same time, a criminal case of abuse of a minor in relation to the full namesake of a famous artist is being investigated. According to data published on the website of the Presnensky Court of Moscow, Belostotsky Ilya Dmitrievich was arrested on October 14 last year on suspicion of pedophilia (part 3 of Article 134 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). In addition, a case of lecherous acts is being investigated against the same person (Article 135 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Moreover, according to REN TV, the investigation is at its final stage. It was then that the first reports appeared about the director’s serious illness, because of which he did not get in touch.

According to TASS, the director is currently in jail.

“Ilya Belostotsky was detained in Moscow for indecent acts against minors, but later the charge was tightened up to Part 3 of Art. 134 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Sexual intercourse and other actions of a sexual nature with a person under the age of sixteen”), which provides for a punishment of up to 10 years. He is currently being held in a pre-trial detention center, ”the agency’s interlocutor said.

On October 7, it was reported that the bill regulating the introduction of a life sentence for recidivist pedophiles did not raise objections from the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the response of the Armed Forces notes that the document “contains comments of a legal and technical nature”.
