Tragedy in Carni Shomron: Menachem Golan, 83, one of the elders of the settlement was killed yesterday (Tuesday) in an accident that occurred between a truck and two vehicles on Route 55 near Carni Shomron.
Golan was evacuated from the scene in critical condition and later pronounced dead at the hospital. His 77-year-old widow Miriam, who was evacuated to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba, is hospitalized in moderate condition.
In the settlement they paid tribute and noted that Menachem was on his way home after receiving good news that he had recovered from cancer, but Davon Lev was killed in an accident.
