Apex Legends obediently enters its fourteenth season of multiplayer content with Predation, the new update bringing us many changes, and most importantly a new legend. We will explain everything to you.

The darling of EA and Respawn Entertainment continues to dominate its category, attracting an astronomical number of players seduced by its near-flawless balance, its personalities, its complex gunplay and its enjoyable movement. The good news of the moment is that the Battle-Royale is entering its fourteenth season: Predation. A new addition of content which also results in a new ranked season, a new legend and other small changes.
Season 14 of Apex Legends, admirably named Predation, will begin on next august 09 at 19h00 and will be preceded by several story and gameplay trailers so that we can appreciate the extent of its novelties. For the moment, we have been able to discover the changes affecting the Storm Canyon map and part of the skills of the new legend Vantage on video in a story trailer for season 14. For the rest of the information, it will be necessary wait for next august 1st and the reveal of the Predation gameplay trailer.

At this time, we don’t know the full extent of the changes that the Predation season will bring to Apex Legends. But we already know that it will be accompanied by a new legend. Vantage, that’s her name, is a young woman of Latin American origin, specialized in distance shooting and fighting for the rights of her mother Xenia Contreras, unjustly imprisoned. Vantage also has a small companion, a bat, has different skills including an enemy marking skill, a dash on his pet and an ultimate increasing his sniper damage. As for the rest of the content of season 14, we will have to wait a little longer with the reveal of the gameplay trailer of the 1st of August next.
It was requested as soon as the game was released in 2019, crossplay was finally implemented on Apex Legends in October 2020, and has since been active by default on all platforms. It does not affect your solo games, but defines the type of players you encounter when playing in squads with your friends. If you are all on the same platform, the players in front of you should mostly use the same console. If you are on different consoles, your lobbies will be populated by a mix of players from different platforms. Console players can optionally disable crossplay in game options.
