Discovery of gold and brass in the ground in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia says it has discovered gold and brass in the holy city of Medina.

Gold has been found at Aba al-Raha in the Medina area and brass has been found in four places in the Wadi al-Fara area.

Saudi Arabia’s Geological Survey reported this, Al Arabiya newspaper reported.

Officials hope it will attract new international investments.

They said the gold and brass discovery could generate US$533 million (S$759 million) in investment and create 4,000 jobs.

Experts expect the new discovery to boost the mining industry in Saudi Arabia.
